Senior Installation Manager

We’re looking for a Senior Installation Manager who owns the final result.

At RMD Luxury Window Treatments, we design, build, and install custom, high-end window treatments and soft furnishings for discerning homeowners and top-tier designers across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington DC.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Job description:

Position Overview:
The Lead Installer will handle the measurement, installation, and servicing of custom window treatments, ensuring every project meets our high standards. You’ll manage small to mid-size projects, lead installation teams, and maintain direct communication with clients to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Accurately install custom drapes, blinds, and shades, ensuring a perfect fit for each project.

  • Measurement: Perform precise on-site measurements to ensure products meet client expectations.

  • Client Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients during consultations, installations, and follow-ups.

  • Leadership: Lead installation teams, manage timelines, and ensure the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

  • Quality Control: Inspect installations to ensure they meet company standards and client specifications.

  • Problem Solving: Quickly resolve on-site challenges while maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.

  • Tool Management: Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition.

  • Team Collaboration: Work with sales, design, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including measurements and client signoffs.

  • Compliance: Follow company policies and safety guidelines; background checks required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5 years in window treatment installation or home improvement with leadership experience.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with installation tools and hardware; experience with various materials.

  • Detail-Oriented: High precision in measurements and installation.

  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a polished and professional demeanor.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; effective client engagement.

  • Problem-Solving: Able to address and resolve issues on-site efficiently

  • Team Leadership: Ability to guide and mentor junior installers.

  • License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

You will work alongside our experienced Installation & Service Team Lead installing beautiful custom window treatments in some of the area’s most special homes.   • Assist with installation of custom window treatments including shades, drapery, and motorized systems

  • Prepare tools, hardware, and materials for each installation

  • Safely use ladders and installation tools

  • Maintain organization of installation tools and company vehicle

  • Support the installation lead in delivering a smooth and professional client experience

  • Learn installation techniques and develop new skills over time

Experience: Previous installation, construction, or finish carpentry experience is a plus — but we’re willing to train the right person who’s eager to learn.
