Her journey from the corporate realm to the world of design has equipped her with exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, and a client-focused approach.

Located in Poolesville, MD, RMD serves the greater Washington DC area offering bespoke window treatments, soft furnishings, upholstery, and wallpaper. With a custom workroom integral to their business, Rebecca and her team craft personalized solutions that reflect each client's unique style and needs.

Melanie Sholes (Team Lead, Production)

As the heartbeat of our workroom, Melanie leads RMD’s artisan team with precision, creativity, and contagious enthusiasm. With years of hands-on experience in fabrication and finishing, she ensures every custom drapery, shade, and pillow leaves the studio meeting The RMD Way standard — impeccable quality, beautiful detailing, and a touch of personality in every stitch.

A true Swiftie, Melanie brings rhythm and joy to the workroom (often with a Taylor Swift playlist in the background) and keeps the team energized through every project deadline. She’s known for her meticulous eye, her supportive leadership style, and her ability to turn complex designs into flawlessly executed finished pieces.

When she’s not leading the charge in the workroom, Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband and their children — whether they’re exploring new adventures or simply making memories at home. Her mix of skill, heart, and humor makes her an essential part of RMD’s success and spirit.

Spencer Stottlemeyer (Team Lead, Installation Service & Support)

After leaving art school, Spencer began his career in the museum world as an art handler and installer — work that demanded precision, patience, and an impeccable eye for detail. Those same qualities now define his craftsmanship at RMD Luxury Window Treatments, where he ensures every installation meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.

Known for his calm focus and steady professionalism, Spencer approaches each project as both a craft and a collaboration, treating every drapery and shade with the care of a gallery piece.

Outside of work, Spencer enjoys woodworking, collecting art, and spending time in nature with his partner, Ashley, and their dog, Lou. His appreciation for art, design, and the outdoors continues to inspire the thoughtful touch he brings to every installation.

Laura Moore (Workroom Artisan)

As an English major from Dickinson College, and a graduate of the culinary Institute of America, I love creating.

I especially enjoy sewing pillows and cushions for our clients.  Because who doesn’t need a beautiful cushion in their bay window? Or a pillow to perfectly complement new window treatments?!

I adore being able to come to work with the creative minds at RMD Lux.  Our workroom team’s love for what we do, and each other,  is  present in every product we create. Together, we nerd out over fantastic  fabric choices and new designs. We all care deeply about each piece that we touch! 

Out of the studio, I appreciate time with my family, cheering on school sports, and hanging with great friends. 

Greta Frederick Harteis (Workroom Artisan)

Greta is a studio artist turned artisan at RMD Luxury Window Treatments, bringing her artistic eye and adventurous spirit to every project she touches.

After graduating from William & Mary and spending several exciting seasons as a whitewater raft guide, Greta traded in her paddles for pins and fabric shears — channeling her creativity into the art of custom craftsmanship.

In the workroom, you’ll find Greta carefully crafting custom draperies, assembling Roman shades, and occasionally adding a touch of fun (and a few googly eyes 👀) to the machines that help make the magic happen. She’s also a key hand on installations, often teaming up with Spencer, and contributes her creative flair behind the camera producing social media content for RMD Lux.

A maker at heart, Greta brings a love of craftsmanship, color, and a hint of whimsy to everything she does — embodying the perfect blend of artistry and precision that defines the RMD Lux Way.

Isa Kern (Workroom Artisan)

Isa is one of our talented artisans at RMD Luxury Window Treatments, where she brings creativity and precision to every project. Whether she’s assembling custom draperies or hand-finishing shades alongside the rest of the workroom team, Isa’s attention to detail and artistic eye shine through in every piece she helps create.

Outside of the workroom, Isa is a skilled oil painter who creates richly textured, abstract works that explore color and emotion while raising awareness for mental health. Her creativity extends beyond the canvas — she enjoys experimenting with gluten-free baking recipes, practicing yoga, playing basketball, and spending quality time with her beloved cat, Pear.

Isa’s blend of artistry, curiosity, and craftsmanship adds both heart and color to the RMD Lux team — and to every project that passes through her hands.

Mark Munster, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

As CEO of RMD Luxury Window Treatments, Mark Munster drives operational excellence and performance across every project. With a background in business consulting, project management, and leadership development, he ensures that RMD delivers the seamless, white-glove experience clients expect.

A Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mark brings the same discipline, precision, and mindset for continuous improvement to business that he does on the mat. His A-Game Framework guides RMD’s culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and care — helping the team perform at their best while turning every client vision into reality.
